I had the incredible opportunity to visit a middle school in NingXia and give a presentation on sustainability. The 8th-grade class I presented to was eager and attentive, making the experience both rewarding and enlightening.
Introducing Sustainability and the 1-Day Challenge
I started by introducing myself and the organization Refuse and Reuse, along with the webinar we recently hosted on environmental sustainability. The core of my presentation focused on the harmful impacts of single-use plastics. Through a detailed PowerPoint and a series of engaging videos, I highlighted the detrimental effects these plastics have on our planet.
Engaging Students with Interactive Learning
I asked questions throughout the presentation, rewarding participating students with one of our beautiful reusable bottle. Every student received a reusable bag and a notebook featuring our ocean-themed cover, serving as a tangible reminder of the importance of refusing single-use plastics. Before my visit, the students took the 1-day challenge. I recorded interviews with them about their experiences
By taking small steps and inspiring others, we can collectively make a significant impact on our planet. Let's continue to refuse single-use plastics and champion sustainable practices for a better future!
